Boston Whaler's Unibond hull mold is comprised of two pieces. In construction each is coated with gelcoat and a skin coat of fiberglass before multiple layers of bi- and tri-directional fiberglass material is applied. The two molds are then latched together and a precise liquid closed-cell foam is poured into the area between the hull molds. This foam expands and fills the space between the molds permanently bonding the halves into a single, inseparable unit. This results in an extremely strong and unsinkable hull. The Accutrack hull has a deep-V entry for a soft ride and great performance in a chop, while the reversed chines give lateral stability and a dry ride.
Layout includes integrated aft quarter seats, a reversible helmseat seat, a cushioned cooler forward of the center console, blue canvas bimini/sun top (new 2019) and frame, and a bow seating area. Self-bailing cockpit. The 16' Dauntless is able to carry 6 people.
