The Ericson 28-2, designed by Bruce King, as with other Ericson's is a blend of comfort below with performance on deck. The 28-2 has official room to sleep 5 (but can sleep 6 if you double up in the quarter berth), with extra thick cushions providing comfort whether just out for a day on the bay or more extended weekend or week away,  The 10' beam allows plenty of elbow room even with the drop down table in place.

Daddy's Mink does show evidence of water intrusion below the ports, but appears to be old staining that any boater with a modicum of DIY ability can sand and stain away in a weekend or two.

She has a 10HP Universal diesel engine that will push her along at 5-6 knots.

On deck there are a number of winches on the cabin deck and cockpit sides for line handling of the main and furling jib. The decks feel solid at all locations.
