On the hard in her shed in Mystic Connecticut. Built by Bertram Yachts Charisma is a fine representative of the classic highly regarded Ray Hunt design. Refitted with a custom interior in 2000. Full bridge enclosure. Twin fresh water cooled professionally maintained 300 HP 6LP-STE Yanmar diesels (repowered also in 2000, with engines having less than 1000 hours). Hull is cored fiberglass laminate, awlgripped in 2000.  Full electronics including Garmin radar, Raymarine touch operated GPS, Simrad Autopilot. Freedom Inverter. Air conditioning/heating system (via shorepower, there is no genset) 

The taking of recent photos presented difficulties with light and angles in her shed, but are included. Please note that photos of Charisma in the water (taken in 2019 before bow sprit and Lewmar windlass was installed) are used with kind permission of Brigid Rooney-Hall of Watch Hill Yacht Services RI. There are no recent photos of her in the water, she is not likely to be launched this season.

Construction and layout

In 2000 the vessel was rebuilt, repowered, rewired, replumbed, the cored fiberglass hull brought down (and then awlgripped white), and the interior completely renovated from original. Construction material in her hull, deck, and superstructure is fiberglass with portions constructed with core material. 

The spacious main cabin features a  is a double v-berth forward, cedar closet starboard galley also starboard (with counter tops, stainless steel sink (with hot and cold pressured water), Norcold dual voltage refrigerator, and ice maker (there is no stove), Dinette and settee are to port opposite galley. The head is to starboard forward of the galley with electric flush, holding tank and discharge system (with mascerator). Interior finish is fiberglass and bright work. Crusair Air conditioning in cabin (via shore power, no genset). 

Steps lead aft up from cabin to cockpit and helm area. Two chairs above each engine box/hatch at helm deck, large cockpit and bench aft. Swim platform and swim ladder.
